Yuliya Polovinchik is a Ukrainian born, 21 year old, anthropology (with a focus on archaeology) student currently attending Santa Monica College and is looking forward to transferring to UCLA soon to finish her education. She lives in West Hollywood with her pet cat Musya and her iguana Iguasha, filling her spare time with her many hobbies which include writing, reading classic literature, the pinano, watching movies, and, of course, keeping an eye out for anything Laker related!
Initially, Yuliya wasn’t much of a Lakers fan at all and was actually annoyed with her father and brother for their constant raving about the in-game goings on, but Christmas day 2008 saw to the end of that. Snowed in on Mammoth mountain with nothing to do but watch the game, she quickly fell in love with our amazing team and a couple of its cuter players as they battled to victory against the Celtics. And she has not missed a game since, either watching them on tv with friends or attending them in person at the Staples Center.
