For the first time in 17 games (six of them in the preseason), the Los Angeles Lakers welcomed back their 7’0” Spaniard back to the lineup as the Chicago Bulls blew in from the Windy City for a nationally televised contest on TNT.
Lakers are down 47-50. 0:02 left on the clock. Second quarter. Derek Fisher swings the ball to the top of the arc and Sasha Vujacic looks up at the basket. He launches up the three. IT’S GOOD. Tie game. Half is over. Sasha’s slump is over. The Machine is back.
Sasha and the Lakers began their seven-game road trip by visiting the Chicago Bulls at the United Center on Saturday. Needless to say, the road trip started on a good note.
